for bastards: a bastardization of king lear

March 12-14, 2026 – The Chain Theatre

Edmund is a bastard. Cordelia may as well be a bastard. Lear and all his consorts are bastards of another kind.

A bastard is child born to parents who are not married to each other. Bastard things that are irregular, inferior, or of questionable origin. A bastard is an offensive or disagreeable person.

Now gods: stand up for bastards.
