SEEKING NON-AEA STAGE MANAGER
for bastards: a bastardization of king lear
Responsibilities
- Creation and distribution of rehearsal schedules, working with the Director and Producer to accommodate conflicts and deadlines
- Communicating any production notes/expectations defined at rehearsals with the production team through Rehearsal Reports
- Recording blocking notes/choreography, uploading rehearsal footage to the Google Drive
- Regular and punctual attendance for rehearsals, tech week, and performances
- Assume responsibility for all stage activities during performances: directing tech and actor cues, props set-up, set & costume changes, and maintaining quiet and efficient movement backstage.
- Overseeing setup and break down of rehearsal and performance spaces
- Communicate with Director, Choreographer, and Sound Designer for rehearsal tracks
- Timely and responsive communication with the production team
- Adhering to all deadlines set by the Director, Producer and Stage Manager
- Having access to a solid internet connection (for any possible virtual rehearsals)
- In case of virtual rehearsals: record session and upload to the Google Drive with rehearsal footage
- Coordinate strike/load out with Production and Venue staff
Production Information

Performances will run from Thursday, March 12th, thru Saturday, January 14th

Rehearsals will run from February 7th until March 8th, Saturdays and Sundays from 10am – 5pm

Strike will be March 15th

Tech Week will begin on Monday, March 9th
All performances will take place at the The Chain Theatre, which is located at 312 W 36th St, FL 3 & 4, New York, NY 10018.
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals schedule will be roughly as follows, subject to change based on conflicts submitted by Performers. Approx. 12-15 hours of SM work a week during 6 week rehearsal period.
Compensation
All profits after paying for the venue and production costs, will be evenly split across the performers and production team.
